The private stream fed lake was created over 50 years ago when the small stream which flows through the wooded area adjacent to ‘Brook Hill’ was dammed. Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside the lake has been controlled by the club for the last 20 years and has a combination of deep and shallower sections with good tree cover.
The lake is stocked annually with around 130 hard fighting Rainbow Trout ranging between 2-3lb, although trout of over 4lb have been caught.
The fishing is generally nymph and attractor fishing, but fish also rise to a dry fly throughout the summer months and the lake proves to be an excellent option when the river is running high or is difficult to fish.
